1. Scope and agreement
These terms apply to every person or business offering digital PDF products through PDFSHOP.io. By applying for a seller account, uploading a product or continuing to sell, you enter into an agreement with the operator of PDFSHOP.io under the Safe Web Innovations name and accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and applicable supplemental policies. Mandatory law always prevails.
2. Eligibility, identity and seller information
You must be at least 18, have legal capacity and provide accurate, current contact, address, business, tax and payout information. Date of birth and contact details are recorded during application. PDFSHOP.io reviews these details and may check trade information through KVK or an equivalent register and EU VAT numbers through VIES. The payment organisation, bank account and payout eligibility are verified through Mollie Connect and its onboarding. PDFSHOP.io does not retain an identity-document copy unless separately required by law and handled securely. Content rights are self-certified and may be investigated using supporting evidence and content review. False or unverifiable information may result in delay, restriction or termination.
3. Founding offer and fees
The PDFSHOP.io platform commission and monthly seller subscription are waived through December 31, 2026. This does not waive taxes, refunds, chargebacks or separately disclosed payment- or payout-provider costs. No PDFSHOP.io platform fees will be charged retroactively for the free period.
The seller selects a plan during registration. Only from January 1, 2027 does the selected plan apply: Starter costs €0 per month plus 10.00% per completed sale; Pro costs €2.99 per month plus 5.00% per completed sale. Commission is calculated on the collected item price excluding VAT and after discounts; cancelled, refunded or charged-back amounts are not eligible revenue. A written individual rate shown in the dashboard replaces only the selected plan’s commission percentage.
Pro is cancellable monthly without a cancellation fee. A change from Pro to Starter takes effect at the end of the current paid month and prevents a new monthly charge. Before January 1, 2027, the selected plan can be changed at no cost and no charge is made. The Pro subscription will be collected only after a supported payment method and clear advance invoice or mandate process are available. PDFSHOP.io will announce material fee changes on a durable medium with the notice required by law.
4. Upload, preview and review
Every new or materially changed PDF remains pending until an administrator has reviewed the PDF, cover, previews, description, category, tags and price. Review is a platform control, not legal, medical, financial, technical or factual certification. PDFSHOP.io may request information, require changes, reject or review a listing again later. The seller can inspect a private preview before publication and remains responsible for the final listing.
5. Rights, quality and product information
You warrant that you are the creator or hold all necessary worldwide rights, licences and permissions for the PDF, text, images, fonts, marks, personal data and previews. Product information must be accurate, non-misleading and complete, including language, page count, subject, compatibility, limitations and price. Material made substantially with AI must be lawful and clearly described where relevant. You may not copy, resell or adapt content without valid permission.
6. Strictly prohibited content and conduct
You may not upload, offer, promote or link to illegal content or content that includes or facilitates:
- child sexual abuse or exploitation, sexual content involving minors, grooming, trafficking or exploitation of vulnerable people;
- pornography, sexually explicit material, sexual services, non-consensual sexual material, revenge pornography or intimate imagery shared without consent;
- racist, antisemitic or discriminatory hateful content, dehumanisation, harassment or incitement to violence against protected groups;
- terrorist or violent-extremist propaganda, credible threats, instructions for serious violence, weapons, explosives or self-harm;
- fraud, phishing, deceptive income schemes, malware, hacking, stolen data, doxxing, identity misuse or security circumvention;
- infringement of copyright, trade marks, privacy, image rights or other rights, counterfeits or stolen educational and professional materials;
- dangerous misinformation foreseeably capable of causing serious physical, financial or societal harm, or unlawful goods and services;
- spam, manipulated reviews, keyword abuse, misleading previews, hidden payment requests or attempts to divert marketplace transactions off PDFSHOP.io.
7. Moderation, reasons and appeals
PDFSHOP.io may restrict, reject, unpublish, block or remove content and may temporarily restrict accounts or payouts. Where lawful and safe, the seller receives a clear reason, the relevant rule and information about appeal. Immediate action without advance notice may be taken for suspected illegal content, imminent harm, fraud, security incidents, repeated abuse or a binding order. Evidence may be securely preserved and competent authorities may be notified.
A seller may appeal through Support and provide relevant rights documentation or evidence. Appeals are reviewed carefully, promptly and without bias. This does not restrict any statutory option for out-of-court dispute settlement or a competent court.
8. Customers, licence, refunds and disputes
Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, the buyer receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for their own use. The seller remains responsible for legal conformity, accurate information and valid consumer claims. PDFSHOP.io may process and offset legally required or reasonably substantiated refunds, price reductions and chargebacks against future payouts. Digital-content withdrawal rules are applied according to law and the customer’s express choices during checkout.
9. Payouts, taxes and reporting
Payouts are made only for valid collected sales and require a supported payout provider, identity verification and correct account details. PDFSHOP.io may apply reasonable reserves or delays for refunds, chargebacks, fraud investigations, legal claims or incomplete verification. The seller is responsible for their own income, VAT and other taxes. Where DAC7 or other law requires it, PDFSHOP.io may collect, verify and report identity and transaction information to tax authorities and provide the seller with a statement. Refusal to provide legally required information may result in warnings and ultimately restriction.
For paid listings, the seller must connect Mollie Connect and complete Mollie onboarding. The Mollie organisation must be able to receive payments and settlements before publication. At sale, PDFSHOP.io uses Mollie marketplace routing to allocate the seller net amount and the separately displayed platform fee. Mollie performs the final settlement according to the Mollie profile and configured payout frequency. PDFSHOP.io may submit an approved refund with reverse routing, which can reverse the corresponding seller allocation. The seller must never send API keys, tokens or banking passwords to PDFSHOP.io Support.
10. Discoverability, ranking and advertising
Search and category results use factors including title, description, category, tags, author, content metadata, recency, downloads, sales and relevance. Popular and newest sections use the corresponding metrics and publication date. Manually featured or paid placements may receive additional visibility and are labelled as sponsored where appropriate. Payment never guarantees approval, sales or a permanent position. PDFSHOP.io-operated products may be offered but remain subject to the same content and safety rules.
11. Data access and termination
The seller can access their products, views, sales, messages and payouts through the dashboard while the account is active. You may edit or remove products; sold files are securely archived so existing customers retain lawful download access. Termination can be requested through Support. After termination, a data or financial statement may be requested for a reasonable period, except where data must be retained or restricted for law, safety, fraud, tax, dispute or enforcement purposes.
12. Changes to these terms
Material changes will be communicated in plain language on a durable medium with at least the notice required by law—generally at least 15 days for business users and longer where reasonable technical or commercial adaptation is needed. Exceptions may apply for legal obligations, imminent harm, fraud or security. Continuing to sell after the effective date constitutes acceptance; the seller may terminate before that date.
13. Liability and governing law
Each party remains liable for its own fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted, PDFSHOP.io is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or the acts of customers, sellers or external providers. The seller will indemnify PDFSHOP.io against substantiated claims directly arising from that seller’s infringing, illegal or misleading content or breach of these terms. Dutch law applies without limiting mandatory rights or competent forums under applicable law.
14. Contact, notices and complaints
Questions, appeals, copyright notices and reports of illegal or unsafe content can be submitted through the Help centre or by email to support@pdfshop.io. Include the product link, reason, relevant legal basis and evidence. Never send passwords or complete payment details. PDFSHOP.io acknowledges receipt and informs affected parties where legally required and safe.
